Autumn 2026
Is it all right to sit quietly on a bench at an art exhibition, sipping warm tea while the world burns around us? Does feeling unbothered necessarily mean that you don’t care? How can we tell what’s real and what isn’t these days? If you question who belongs to so-called good company, does that automatically make you one of the bad crowd? What role can a critic play in all this? How can we look at things from a greater distance, more critically, but also more dreamily? How can we speak the language of birds and keep a sea in the back room?
In this autumn issue, questions are posed by Aaron James Wendland, Sanna Kartau, Hedi Rosma, Hanno Soans, Vinícius Portella, Sameliina Paurson, Tiina Sarapu, Juta Kivimäe, Elnara Taidre, Regina Mets, Annika Toots and Karin Kahre.
At the end of the issue, readers will find two themed special supplements, both of which look (thoughtfully) to the future: one focuses on young painters and the other on motherhood in art. A big thank you to our guest editors Maria Leemet, Aleksander Metsamärt, Kaarin Kivirähk and Eda Tuulberg.
Stay tuned!
