In the current exhibition, Plink and Saarepuu deal with phenomena that, in the usual consciousness, are treated as oppositions: man-woman, nationalism-globalism, rationalism-mysticism. Although conflict arises from these oppositions, ignoring them produces nothing better than further contradictions. It is more effective to develop a synergy, to allow the seemingly contradictory phenomena to function together, to neutralise each other’s weaknesses and enhance their strengths.
